Convert PDF files to editable Word documents
PDFs are great for sharing but hard to edit. This converter analyses each page of your PDF — text runs, fonts, paragraphs, images and tables — and rebuilds them as a real DOCX document you can edit freely.
Conversion runs on a secure professional document engine (Adobe PDF Services) because accurate layout reconstruction can’t be done reliably inside a browser. Your file is sent over HTTPS, converted, and deleted immediately afterwards. We never store or read your documents.
Best results come from PDFs that were created digitally (exported from Word, Excel or a website). Scanned PDFs contain only pictures of text, so they convert as images unless OCR has been applied first.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert a PDF to Word?
Upload your PDF above, click Convert to Word and download the DOCX file. No account or email is needed.
Will the formatting be preserved?
Text, fonts, paragraphs, images and tables are preserved as closely as possible. Very complex designs (layered graphics, unusual fonts) may need small touch-ups after conversion.
Can I convert a scanned PDF to Word?
Scanned PDFs are images of text. They convert, but the text will not be editable unless the PDF already contains an OCR text layer.
Is my file safe?
Yes. The file is transferred over an encrypted connection, processed in a temporary folder and deleted immediately. We don’t keep copies or look at your documents.
Why does this tool upload my file when others run in the browser?
Rebuilding an editable Word layout from a PDF requires a full document engine that is too heavy to run inside a browser. Simpler tools like merge, split and compress run entirely on your device.
