Worked example
Born 15 March 1995, checked on 3 October 2026
From 15 March 1995 to 15 March 2026 is 31 full years. From 15 March to 15 September is 6 more months, and from 15 September to 3 October is 18 days. Exact age: 31 years, 6 months and 18 days.
Leap-year birthday (29 February)
In non-leap years the birthday is counted on 28 February, so the age changes on the last day of February.
